In this video, I have 5 easy Cocktails that you can make with Plantation Pineapple Rum (or Stiggins Fancy Pineapple Rum). These recipes are perfect if you're at home, or even if you want to rock them out at a Pub or Bar.
The Plantation Rum Brand does make some Epic Rums. And this Pineapple rum is no exception. But don't think of this as a Pineapple flavoured Rum, which may sound a bit nuts, but it is nothing like your Pineapple Dead Mans Fingers Rum or, Captain Morgan Pineapple. There are no flavours added here, it's just a subtle infused Rum with Real Pineapples. The Pineapple flavour IS there, but it's not upfront and in your face.
The cocktails I wanted to show you give a really good overlook of this Rum. First up is the Daiquiri. My recipe is a very slight tweak on the Plantation Daiquiri and although there's no official "this is how we serve our Daiquiri", many Bartenders have adopted the split citrus of Lime and Grapefruit. My little twist is just the Pineapple & Star Anise Bitters.
Then I've got 3 Cocktails where I need the names, please. Including a flavour that I'm really loving at the moment, a Bitter-Sweet thing going on with Pampelle Apero, which is essentially a fruitier, less bitter, grapefruit version of Aperol. This cocktail is divine. Some of you may want a touch of Sugar though.
But the star of the show for me is the Pineapple Julep where I've paired the rum up with Jack Daniels Rye Whiskey for little spicy notes, but also some Fee Brothers Molasses Bitters to really bring out and accentuate the Pineapple in the Rum. Obviously, Mollases are what Rum is essentially distilled from. Ish. So these bitters work really well in this cocktail.
